St. Anne’s
Day recognizes the mother of the Virgin Mary and grandmother of Jesus Christ.
Come celebrate her special day on July 26 at the 10 a.m. church service at St.
Anne’s Episcopal Church in Church Circle in Annapolis, Md,
The
service includes the Holy Eucharist and the congregation welcoming three
children into the Christian family through the sacraments of baptism.
After the
service, parishioners and visitors can gather on the church lawn for some
“summer hospitality” from members of St. Anne’s pastoral care ministry, A Cup
of Cold Water.
Then, the
adults can step back into the church for the Summer Adult Forum on
“Wisdom Literature” from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. in the back of the church. On
July 26 the discussion will revolve around the “wisdom” offered by the Biblical
book of Ecclesiastes.
The Youth
& Children’s Committee’s Summer Children’s Formation, Parables &
Popsicles, will meet at the picnic table from 11:15 -11:45 a.m. for a story
about Jesus, a game and an icy treat.
After the
service and just down the street from the church, a backpack filling event will
be held at St. Anne’s Parish Hall on 199 Duke of Gloucester St. The church and
the Preschool for the Arts at St. Anne's (PASA) are partnering with the Walk
the Walk Foundation, a faith centered organization, to raise funds to
fill 225 backpacks for Annapolis Elementary School students. A $35
donation fills a bag. To donate online, go to https://ddock.co/45HU5P7VBQ. Want to help? Email Mary Greczyn
