The public is invited to join St. Anne’s Episcopal Church’s Summer Adult Forum, a discussion-based gathering led by parishioners, at 11:30 a.m. on Sundays, Aug. 9 – 30, at St. Anne’s in Church Circle in Annapolis, Md. The group meets at the back of the sanctuary after the 10 a.m. service.
For three weeks in August, forum participants will explore the biblical book of Job, learning about “Job Prologue,” Aug. 9; “Job Dialogues,” Aug.16; “Job and the Speeches from the Whirlwind,” Aug. 23; and” Leading a Good Life,” Aug. 30.
Participants will explore the “wisdom” offered by Job during a balanced, thoughtful, open exchange of ideas and perspectives on how to live a life honoring God, our self, and others.
Discussions follow Yale Divinity School’s free online curriculum, which explores topics covered in the “Wisdom literature” of the Old Testament books of Proverbs, Ecclesiastes and Job.
