Characters characterize senior center Halloween

Halloween 2013 will be memorable for the many characters who visited the Annapolis Senior Activity Center. A grim reaper, two devils and an angel visited the seniors.

A “Cowboys” football player shared the limelight with a cowboy named “Woody” from the movie, “Toy Story,” a baby cowboy and a senior cowboy.

Three bakers wore chefs’ hats and aprons. A blue checkered gingham dress and ruby slippers signaled Dorothy from the “Wizard of Oz.”

Other noteworthy characters included two dressed as Spiderman, Iron Man, two pumpkins, two ninjas, a ladybug, a Tigger, and a ballerina.

In all, about 30 characters – some seniors and some children – paraded through the center. At each classroom seniors gave the children candy.

As eerie music filled the center, the children colored pictures and snacked on cupcakes decorated with orange and purple icing and pumpkin rings.

Then, the children raced up and down the Multi-Purpose Room’s open space, chasing each other and just running.

No ghost or goblin could ask for a better Halloween.
