Coastal Flood Warning for Annapolis Area Overnight

NWS: Moderate flooding will cause water to reach the floor of the Maritime Museum in Annapolis and it will begin to cover Boyer Road.

A coastal flood warning has been issued for Anne Arundel County until 5 a.m. Monday, followed by a coastal flood advisory until 2 p.m. Monday.

Moderate flooding will cause water to reach the floor of the Maritime Museum in Annapolis and it will begin to cover Boyer Road on the Naval Academy campus, according to the National Weather Service.

There will be minor tidal inundation of the shoreline Monday, according to the NWS. Wave action of 3 to 5 feet will continue to enhance the inundation threat.

High tide at Annapolis U.S. Naval Academy is at 12:02 a.m. and 11:50 a.m. Monday.

“Coastal residents in the warned area should be alert for rising water and take appropriate action to protect life and property,” according to the NWS.
