Cooper's Hawk Opens Monday at Annapolis Towne Centre

The wine bar and restaurant is opening its first Maryland venue in Annapolis. The two-story space also has a tasting room.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant will open its first Maryland location off the main circle of Annapolis Towne Centre on Monday, May 15.

Cooper’s Hawk combines a casual, upscale restaurant with a winery, Napa-style tasting room and artisanal retail store. The menu of modern American dishes is designed to complement the eatery’s award-winning wine collection, according to a news release from developer Greenberg Gibbons.

Cooper’s Hawk also has one of the largest wine clubs in the country, and was recently named the “Breakout Brand” and “Hot Concept” by Nation’s Restaurant News. To learn more about Cooper’s Hawk, visitwww.coopershawkwinery.com.

The first Maryland location at Annapolis Towne Centre will be 9,773 square feet. Its main entrance, retail store, market, tasting room and gift shop will be on the ground level next to Eastern Mountain Sports, while the restaurant, wine bar and outdoor dining space will be located directly above on the second level next to 24 Hour Fitness and Ziki.

“Cooper’s Hawk is an exciting, unique concept that’s unlike anything in the area,” said Tom Fitzpatrick, president of developer Greenberg Gibbons. “We are thrilled to have them join our mix of fine retailers and restaurants at Annapolis Towne Centre.”

Signature items such as Soy Ginger Salmon, Chicken Giardiniera, Asian Pork Belly Tostadas and Mexican Drunken Shrimp have quickly found popularity as the restaurant’s signature dishes.

The restaurant also features one of the country’s largest wine of the month clubs, offering subscribers monthly wines, special discounts, invitations to exclusive events, rewards, and annual domestic and international wine trips. Cooper’s Hawk has received more than 350 awards from various local, national and international wine competitions. The restaurant recently received a 99-point score at the Critics Challenge International Wine Competition for its Lux Pinot Noir.

Led by General Manager Scott Anderson, the 9,454-square-foot restaurant will offer indoor and outdoor seating with occupancy for more than 300 guests, as well as a large private dining and event room that can be subdivided.

“Annapolis’ growing culinary community makes it the perfect area to open our first location in Maryland,” said Tim McEnery, founder and CEO of Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants, in a news release. “Pairing our wines with signature menu items offers something that this area has not seen before, and we’re excited for a chance to provide that.”

The restaurant and tasting room will open daily at 11 a.m., and will remain open until 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, until 10:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and close at 9 p.m. on Sunday. Reservations are recommended.

The bar will have extended hours, closing at 11:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, midnight on Friday and Saturday, and 11 p.m. on Sunday.
