Fire Claims 92-Year-Old Woman In Anne Arundel County: Officials
A 92-year-old woman died after a house fire in Anne Arundel County, officials said. This was the county's seventh fire death of the year.

CROWNSVILLE, MD — A 92-year-old woman died Wednesday after a Crownsville house fire, officials said. Authorities identified the victim as Erna Brunchorst.
An adult resident called 911 around 1:10 p.m. to report the fire with a relative still inside in the 700 block of Osner Drive. First responders said they found flames on the front side of the two-story, single-family home.
Crews said they removed the injured woman from the burning house and started treating her critical, life-threatening injuries.

The Maryland State Police Aviation Command then airlifted her to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, a press release said.
The victim died from her injuries later that evening, the release said. This was Anne Arundel County's seventh fire-related death of the year.

A team of 60 said it controlled the flames in 20 minutes.
Officials said they are still investigating the cause of the blaze, which started in the breakfast nook. Investigators estimated that the flames caused $5,000 in damage.
