ANNAPOLIS, MD — David Albert Sohns, 78, died on Monday, Dec. 28, in Annapolis, surrounded by his wife and children. He passed away after an eight-year battle with Alzheimers.
Born January 10, 1937, in Scranton, PA, David graduated from the University of Scranton. He was employed by the IRS for 44 years before retiring at the end of 2004.

David is survived by his wife, Sandra “Kaye” Sohns and his 13 children: Mark, Eric, Kurt, Krista, Lisa, David, Michael, Emily, Ariel, Ethan, Carlin, Elliott and Devon. He is also survived by his 20 grandchildren. The most important thing in his life was family.
He was preceded in death by two children, Pamela and Jeffrey.

Friends are invited to David’s memorial service at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road in Edgewater, on Sunday, Jan. 10, at 11 a.m. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that a contribution be made in his name to the Alzheimers Association at ALZ.org.
