David Kerr, 72, of Annapolis, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2016.
David was a carpentry contractor by trade and specialized in remodeling kitchens. He was a member and active volunteer at Riva Trace Baptist Church, and a frequent volunteer for Unity by the Bay and the Maritime Archaeological Historical Society. He maintained a garden on the B&A Trail and volunteered annually to lead a team for Serve Annapolis.

Each June, since 2007, he built houses in Mexico with Club Dust, an organization that builds simple homes for needy families.
He continued his legacy of giving by gifting his organs to others.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; his children, Donald and Timothy Kerr, Rebekah Starner, and Kathy Thompson and his stepchildren, Dev Pathik and Anita Pathik Law, as well as 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family will welcome guests beginning at 10 a.m., with a formal service beginning at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 18, at Riva Trace Baptist Church, 475 Central Ave. in Davidsonville.
Following a private internment, the family invites all friends to join them at 4 p.m. at Unity by the Bay, 4 Pointless Forest Trail in Annapolis, for a reception and sharing circle to celebrate David’s life.
