Vice President Joe Biden may have won the internet Friday with his office’s Twitter photo of the Navy’s Blue Angels in formation over the U.S. Naval Academy graduation ceremony.

Biden’s Twitter account posted a photo of the aerial demonstration squad flying above the stadium with this text: “Land of the free. Home of the brave. Thank you to all who serve in the finest military in the history of the world.”

The vice president was the commencement speaker Friday in Annapolis for the new class of officers.

Last year, the Twitter-verse was dazzled by a gravity-defying selfie posted by one of the pilots of the Navy’s Blue Angels. Lt. Commander Nate Barton snapped a self-portrait with his phone midair above the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis a year ago.

And everyone shared it.

The Navy’s flight demonstration squad, the Blue Angels, world-renowned for aerial displays, performs annually at the Naval Academy as part of graduation week festivities.

The Blue Angels’ performed Wednesday in an air show and made their traditional graduation fly-over Friday above the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.
