Donations, Homemade Face Masks Accepted At Anne Arundel Hospital
Community members who want to make a face mask for Anne Arundel Medical Center can find directions on its website.
ANNAPOLIS, MD — People in Anne Arundel County who are suddenly finding themselves with extra time on their hands at home due to the new coronavirus can help out the Anne Arundel Medical Center as it faces a shortage of face masks and other personal protective gear during the coronavirus outbreak.
Arminta Plater, spokesperson for Anne Arundel Medical Center, told Patch the facility is "actively working with our local, state and federal partners to make sure we have enough supplies to see this pandemic through to the end."
"While we currently have the supplies needed to care for our patients and protect our staff, we are working diligently to increase our supply. Recognizing that the public wants to help, we are prioritizing gifts of new/unused medical grade equipment and supplies," said Plater.
