Offering One (1) Birth Doula Service. Recipients must be affiliated and/or recommended by a non-profit organization, a support group or county government assisting those in need. Must be within 25-mile radius of Annapolis, MD.
What is included in a Birth Doula Service?
1. Two (2) prenatal visits (1 1/2 hours each) to discuss birth preferences, practice soothing techniques used during labor, resource list and help create birth plan.
2. On call for 2 weeks before due date to 2 weeks after due date
3. Phone and e-mail support for the 4 weeks
4. Continuous labor support provided from active labor through birth and breastfeeding (usually 2 hours after the birth)
5. One (1) 1 postpartum visit (2-3 hours) to discuss the birth, offer guidance with common postpartum issues.
