Dryer Fire Causes Damage At Apartment Complex: Officials
The Annapolis Fire Department responded to a call about a fire in the laundry room of an apartment complex Friday.
ANNAPOLIS, MD — A malfunctioning dryer sparked a fire in the laundry room of an apartment complex located in the 900 block of Primrose Road in Annapolis. Firefighters were dispatched at approximately 11:20 a.m. Friday. When units arrived, they found smoke coming from the front of the building.
Firefighters located the fire in the laundry room, which was in the basement. It took the 35 firefighters approximately 15 minutes to reign in the fire. Units from Anne Arundel County provided mutual aid assistance. No injuries were reported and no one was displaced due to the fire. Total cost damage is estimated to be approximately $500.
