The Canine Training Association (CTA) was formed in 1950 as a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching dog owners how to train their dogs to become well-mannered members of their households and communities. All CTA instructors have earned AKC (American Kennel Club) obedience titles on 1 or more dogs. CTA also offers further training in more advanced levels to prepare trainers and dogs for various competitive events.
