First Look Inside Homesense Store Opening In Annapolis

Homesense, described by one publication as "HomeGoods on steroids,"​ will have rugs, furniture, decorative items and more.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Homesense, a furniture and home decor store that's part of the HomeGoods family of stores, is sharing a look at the offerings in stock when it opens its second Maryland location at Annapolis Plaza on Thursday, Sept. 20. The store, which one publication called "HomeGoods on steroids," says it carries an expansive selection of quality merchandise at great prices – from furniture to decorative accessories.

The store offers an array of large-scale furniture, a rug emporium, an extensive lighting department that includes hanging chandeliers and a “general store” featuring everything from hardware to storage needs. Customers will also be able to shop for seasonal items including outdoor entertaining must-haves and holiday décor as well as artwork, decorative accessories and gift-wrapping essentials, according to a news release.

So far, there are just a handful of Homesense locations in a few states, including New Jersey, Massachusetts and Maryland. The first Homesense in Maryland opened at the end of June in Columbia.

The Annapolis location will open at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 20, in Annapolis Plaza at 150 Jennifer Road. Special grand opening day hours will be from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Regular store hours are Monday through Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.; and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. For additional Homesense locations, visit us.Homesense.com.

Customers can touch, feel and sit on the wide variety of merchandise before taking it home, from rows of leather couches to color-coded walls of throw pillows.
