Five Teens Hospitalized After Car Slammed into Tree
Anne Arundel County Police say speed appears to have been a factor in the one-car accident; four teens have critical injuries.

Five teenagers from Pasadena had to be cut out of a car after it went off a road in Glen Burnie and slammed into the tree.
All five teens are hospitalized, according to Anne Arundel County Police, and four of the victims have critical or life-threatening injuries.
The accident was reported just after midnight Tuesday on Solley Road near Chestnut Springs Lane in Glen Burnie.

A Pontiac G6 occupied by five juveniles was southbound on Solley Road when the car slid off the road and struck a tree on the passenger side door.
All the occupants had to be cut free by fire department personnel. Police say four were airlifted to the Shock Trauma in Baltimore with critical or life-threatening injuries. Only the driver and front passenger appeared to have been wearing seatbelts.

The cause of the crash appears to be excessive speed, though a contributing factor was the
damp road conditions. Alcohol does not appear to be involved. All of the occupants were juveniles.
The 16-year-old boy driving the car suffered serious injuries. His passengers are a 17-year-old boy and three 15-year-olds – two boys and a girl – all from Pasadena.
