Flash Flood Warning in Effect for Anne Arundel County
More than 2 inches of rain has fallen already Wednesday, with more on the way, causing flooding in central Anne Arundel County.

Annapolis, MD — The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for central Anne Arundel County until 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
About 2.5 inches of rain had fallen across the area by 5 p.m., according to the weather service, with additional thunderstorms moving into the region accompanied by heavy rain.
A flash flood warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring and people should move to higher ground immediately. If there is standing water of unknown depth, drivers should turn around; don't drown.

Local law enforcement reported high water had closed Route 450 near St. Stephen's Church Road.
Some locations likely to experience flooding include: Annapolis, Crofton, Mayo, Shady Side, Deale, Naval Academy, Severn River, South River, Rhode River, Arnold, Parole, Londontowne, Edgewater, Cape St. Claire, Riva, Crownsville, Galesville, Highland Beach, Bay Ridge and Davidsonville.
