Flood Warning Issued For Anne Arundel, PG Counties
A flood warning is in place for parts of Anne Arundel and Prince George's counties until early on Aug. 7, the National Weather Service said.
ANNAPOLIS, MD — Flooding is expected in northwestern Anne Arundel and north-central Prince George's counties Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for those area until 2 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7.
At 9:52 p.m. law enforcement officials reported flooding across the area. Up to 3 inches of rain had already fallen.
Locations that will likely experience flooding include: Severn, College Park, Beltsville, Laurel, White Oak, Fort Meade, Hillandale, Savage-Guilford, Jessup and Savage.

A flood warning is issued when flooding is imminent or occurring.
In the Baltimore area, some roads were impassable after up to 5 inches of rain fell by 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 6, local authorities told the National Weather Service.

"There have been reports of manholes popping up due to the heavy rains and water runoff," Baltimore's Office of Emergency Management reported. "Do not attempt to walk or drive through moving water."
Northeastern Baltimore City and south central Baltimore County are also under a flood warning until 3 a.m. Wednesday.
