Free Parking Downtown for MLK Day Parade
Annapolis officials say the Hillman parking garage will be open at no charge for several hours on Jan. 19

Annapolis officials say the Hillman Parking Garage at 150 Gorman St. will be open to the public, at no charge, on Monday, Jan.19, to accommodate local businesses and those attending the first Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade.
The City of Annapolis and the Annapolis Drum and Bugle Corps will host the first Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade on Jan. 19. The parking garage will be free from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. that day.
The parade will start at Amos Garrett Boulevard at noon and travel down West Street to Church Circle, go around the circle to Main Street, down Main Street, and end at City Dock.

Streets along the route will close at noon and are expected to remain closed until about 2 p.m.
City officials hope that the parade will become an annual event.
