Freeze Warning Issued In Anne Arundel, Low Temperatures Expected Overnight
Temperatures are starting to drop for the season. Anne Arundel County residents can expect a cold night. Officials issued a freeze warning.
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — The National Weather Service issued a freeze warning for Anne Arundel County. The alert begins Friday at 2 a.m. It expires seven hours later.
Temperatures could dip to 31 degrees, the bulletin said. Meteorologists warned that the chilly night could kill crops and damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
"Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold," the weather officials recommended. "To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes[,] they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-ground pipes to protect them from freezing."
