Getting restarted

Getting restarted.

Having a quick breakfast, in between tasks, it is time to get back to the blog!

In chess club this morning, I taught two groups.

The first group was learning the diagonal journeys and functions of the Bishop.

The second group was getting a review of the importance of the Big “3” (Controlling the Center[e4,e5,d4,d5], Developing the Minor Pieces[Bishops and Knights], and Protecting the King[usually by Castling]). A brief mention of Pawn Structure and a small explanation of what a “phalanx” is.

Co-operation and co-ordination is key in chess, and usually is away from the chess arena as well.
