Giant Foods Recalls 2 Products Over Walnut Concerns
The grocer has taken Nature's Promise Cranberry Trail Mix & Walnuts and Woodstock Walnut Halves & Pieces off its shelves.

Giant foods issued a volunteer recall Tuesday for two products with walnuts that have a risk of listeria contamination.
Listeria monocytogenes, an organism which could result in severe illness, or death, to people who consume this product, has been in the news in recent weeks following a nationwide recall of hundreds of brands of frozen vegetables and fruits.
The Giant store recall is not part of the national frozen produce recall.

Listeriosis, an infection caused by Listeria, can pose major risks for certain populations, especially pregnant women, older adults, and individuals with weakened immune systems.
The items Giant has recalled are Nature's Promise Cranberry Trail Mix & Walnuts and Woodstock Walnut Halves & Pieces.
