Groundbreaking Planned For New Cape St. Claire Fire Station
Anne Arundel County officials are planning a ceremonial groundbreaking for the new Cape St. Claire Fire Department in April.
Cape St. Claire residents and local officials are set to gather on April 29 for a groundbreaking ceremony for the new county-owned Cape St. Claire Fire Department station in Annapolis.
The ceremony for Station 19 is scheduled for 9:45 a.m. at 1411 Cape St. Claire Rd, Annapolis, MD 21409. Residents are invited to the event, which will also be attended by Anne Arundel County fire and public works officials, the Cape St. Claire Volunteer Fire Company, County Executive Steuart Pittman and District 5 County Councilmember Amanda Fiedler.
The new fire station marks the newest investment in public safety in the Cape St. Claire community. Officials said the new facility is intended to enhance emergency response capabilities and provide modern accommodations for firefighters.

Fire Chief Trisha Wolford said the project is also tied to future service needs in the area.
“This project highlights the county's commitment to strengthening Fire and EMS Services while preparing for future growth,” Wolford said.

The announcement did not include a construction timeline or opening date for the new station.
