Gunshots Fired In Annapolis; Glen Burnie Man Charged

A Glen Burnie man was charged with firing a handgun in Annapolis, police say.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A Glen Burnie man was arrested on seven criminal charges for allegedly firing a handgun in Annapolis, police say. A bystander called Annapolis Police just after 11 a.m. Friday to report a man shooting a handgun in the 1300 block of Tyler Avenue.

Officers located the shooting suspect, who reportedly fled as officers approached him. As he was running, he threw a handgun, but officers quickly caught the man and recovered the handgun.

Police arrested Colando Colbert, 22, of Glen Burnie on seven charges, including possession of the firearm as a convicted felon and trespassing. He is being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center without bond.
