Habitat America Announces Promotions for Top-Leading Roles

Habitat America, LLC, a woman-owned third party property management company based out of Annapolis, MD, recently announced three internal, executive level promotions for the following executives: Bobbie Whitney, Maryellen DeLuca and Jennifer O’Dell. Due to the continuous, rapid expansion of the company’s management portfolio, these promotions are vital to keep operations flowing smoothly and soundlessly. After relocating to a larger office in 2012, employees are squeezing in together to find a desk at work, as the office is already nearly outgrown.

The promotions include the following titles and duties:

·         Bobbie Whitney, vice president of operations. Whitney has been the go-to manager for everything YARDI, property set-up, rent ledgers, accounts payable, information systems and much more.  In her advanced role, Whitney will be overseeing staff that will assist her in special projects in those areas or in some of those capacities. She joined Habitat America in June 2005, after working at The Shelter Group for nearly 20 years.  Whitney brought a great deal of property management experience, YARDI experience and information systems management expertise to Habitat America.

·         Maryellen DeLuca, vice president of marketing and training. DeLuca joined Habitat America in January 2005.  At that time DeLuca was both director of marketing and training and a regional property manager.  She has worked diligently to cultivate the company’s marketing department into a true marketing force in the property management industry.  DeLuca brought years of property management experience to Habitat America, and she has gained even greater experience while working for the company.

·         Jennifer O’Dell, assistant vice president, best practices. In addition to all that O’Dell already does as a regional property manager, her new focus will be on the “Standardization of Practices and Procedures” within the company at the property sites.  She will design, develop and implement policies and training to improve and streamline the way Habitat America does business.  O’Dell’s management practices and beliefs demonstrate the passion she has for this company’s undertaking. O’Dell joined Habitat America in November of 2000 in the entry-level position of leasing consultant and has since risen through the company ranks.  She has gained valuable experience and insight as she has worked at various organizational levels over the past 14 years.
