Hanging Of The Greens: Volunteers Needed In Downtown Annapolis

The annual Annapolis Hanging of the Greens is Saturday, the Annapolis Jaycees announced, and volunteers are needed to spruce up downtown.

The Jaycees and volunteers will decorate downtown storefronts with wreaths and lighted garland for the holidays. Decorators will begin gathering at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4 in the parking lot next to Stan & Joe's Saloon at 37 West Street.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — The annual Annapolis Hanging of the Greens is Saturday, the Annapolis Jaycees announced, and volunteers are needed to help spruce up downtown.

The Jaycees and volunteers will decorate downtown storefronts with wreaths and lighted garland for the holidays. Decorators will begin gathering at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4 in the parking lot next to Stan & Joe's Saloon at 37 West Street.

According to a website for the event, pizza will be provided mid-day. The event is scheduled to end around 2:30 p.m.

Volunteers are encouraged to dress warmly, wear gloves, and bring any beverages they might need during the day.
