Heroin, Crack Cocaine Found in Raid on Child-Care Home: Police
A Pasadena couple charged with more than a dozen drug crimes reportedly sold heroin, crack cocaine and weed from their in-home day care.
PASADENA, MD — A Pasadena couple who operated a child-care business in their home both face more than a dozen drug charges after Anne Arundel County narcotics officers allegedly found heroin, crack cocaine and marijuana in their house.
Detectives executed a narcotics search warrant at the home in the 7800 block of Centergate Court in Pasadena early Friday morning before children arrived at the home-based licensed child-care facility, police said. Elizabeth Ann Ocus, 34, of the 7800 block of Centergate Court in Pasadena, ran the facility, according to police spokesman Lt. Ryan Frashure.
During the search, heroin, crack cocaine, marijuana, Oxycodone, Tramadol, Carisoprodol, cash and drug paraphernalia that indicates drug sales were happening at the site were recovered, authorities say. Most of the drugs were found in the house's bedroom and bathroom, areas that the children did not have access to, Frashure said. Other drugs were reportedly found in Ocus' purse, which was found downstairs in the day-care area.
