Hogan: Gov. Christie Is 'Exactly the Leader We Need'

Maryland's governor endorsed New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie in the crowded field seeking the GOP presidential nomination.

Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan threw this support for the Republican presidential nomination to Chris Christie Wednesday, pledging to work hard for the bombastic New Jersey governor trailing in early national polls.

“I happen to believe that he’s exactly the leader that we need. I think that he should be the next president. And I think he will be the next president,” Hogan said, reports The Washington Times.

Christie is the former chairman of the Republican Governors Association, and had campaigned several times for Hogan last year during his upset gubernatorial bid.
