Holiday Concert Presented By Naval Academy, Coast Guard Bands
The U.S. Naval Academy Band and the U.S. Coast Guard Band will perform patriotic pieces in a holiday concert Saturday, May 25, at 7 p.m.
ANNAPOLIS, MD -- The U.S. Naval Academy Band will present a joint holiday concert with the U.S. Coast Guard Band on Saturday, May 25, at 7 p.m. The concert will be held at Annapolis City Dock and feature marches, patriotic favorites and concert band standards. The special Memorial Day weekend event is free and open to the public.
USNA Band percussionist, Musician 1st Class Brandon Schantz, will be featured on xylophone, and USCG Band soprano Musician 1st Class Megan Weikleenget will be the vocal soloist. Conducting duties will be shared by the leaders of each band, Lt. Cmdr. Patrick K. Sweeten and Lt. Cmdr. Adam Williamson.
