Homeless Man Stabs Christmas Eve Well-Wisher: Police
Authorities say a homeless man robbed a man who gave him money, saying he didn't want to be poor on Christmas.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — Given a few dollars by a stranger on Christmas Eve, a homeless man repaid the generosity by stabbing the donor, according to police. He said that he didn’t want to be poor on Christmas.
The assault was reported after 3 p.m. in the 7500 block of Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie. According to Anne Arundel County Police, the 41-year-old victim was approached by Edward Wayne Kramer, 52, of no fixed address. Kramer told the victim that he had recently been robbed and did not have any money. The victim said he felt sorry for Kramer, so he gave him a few dollars from his pocket.
As the man walked away, Kramer reportedly pulled a knife out and stabbed the victim in the forehead. When the man asked Kramer why he would attack him after he had just given him money, police say Kramer replied that he “was not going to be poor on Christmas.”
