Homeowner Warns Thieves He Has a Shotgun
Anne Arundel County Police say the resident yelled at thieves that he had a gun, and they fired off a shot before fleeing the house.

A Pasadena resident who heard noises in his house yelled that he was carrying a shotgun, which was met with thieves firing a shot before fleeing.
Anne Arundel County Police were called to the burglary in the 1800 block Poplar Ridge Road in Pasadena about 11:42 p.m. Monday.
The resident told officers that he, his wife and their grandson were all asleep in the house when they heard noises within the residence. The homeowner left his bedroom to investigate and yelled out that he was armed with a shotgun.

Police say the suspects reacted by firing a gunshot into a wall before they ran from the house. The thieves took a laptop computer and some other undetermined items with them.
Numerous officers responded to the scene, including a police K-9 and a police helicopter, but the suspects were not located. The investigation is ongoing.

The victims were only able to provide a limited description of the suspects. One suspect is described as a male wearing a white T-shirt and jeans; the second suspect was a male wearing all dark clothing; and no description was offered for the third suspect.
