ICYMI: Street Closures, Delays Likely When Blue Angels Arrive

Annapolis Police are warning drivers to expect traffic changes next week when the Navy's Blue Angels come to town.

Drivers should be prepared for some street closures and traffic delays on Tuesday, May 19, and Wednesday, May 20, when the U.S. Navy Blue Angels practice and perform in town.

The event will affect traffic along the following routes: Taylor Avenue, Rowe Boulevard, Route 450 northbound and southbound in the area of the Naval Academy Bridge, Route 648, Greenbury Point Road and St. Margarets Road.

Communities in those areas should be aware that some streets will be closed during the event, including the closing of the U.S. Naval Academy Bridge. Drivers are asked to use caution as increased pedestrian and vehicular traffic is anticipated for the event.

Expect minor delays on the route between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
