Inmate Killed; Cellmate Suspected: Maryland State Police
The cellmate is being held in a separate location and has not yet been charged, police said.

JESSUP, MD — An inmate was killed over the weekend at a state prison in Jessup, according to police, who said the victim’s cellmate is suspected in connection with the death.
Nicholas Joseph Delfosse, 27, was found with multiple injuries in his cell around 4:30 p.m. Saturday and pronounced dead at the scene, state police said. He was serving time for burglary at the Jessup Correctional Institution, according to police.
Delfosse’s cellmate is being held in a separate location and has not yet been charged, police said Sunday, adding his identity is being withheld until charges are brought.

Autopsy results were pending and the case remains under investigation by the State Police Homicide Unit with assistance from the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services Internal Investigative Unit, according to authorities.
