KA-CHUNK!! Records In Annapolis Ready For Record Store Day
Support your local Annapolis record store, KA-CHUNK!! Records, on Saturday and you may find a record that isn't sold anywhere else.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — National Record Store Day is something music lovers count the days to all year. The annual event falls on Saturday, April 22, this year and is a rare occasion to check out special items that aren't sold anywhere else — and support local business.
Whether you are a zealous vinyl collector or want a CD to play in your car, log off Amazon and head to your local record store on Saturday. In Annapolis, KA-CHUNK!! Records is participating in the National Record Store Day festivities and die-hard fans will likely begin a vigil Friday night. The store is located at 78 Maryland Ave. and has plans to give freebies to early fans in line. For more information, visit the store's Facebook page or call (410) 571-5047.
The store will open at 10 a.m. Saturday for the event. The owners said on Facebook that they have ordered special releases for the event, but quantities are not assured. "I know some people wait in line for hours on this day, but please don’t be upset if the record you came for is sold out by the time you get inside," the owner posted.

What to expect on Record Store Day, according to the store: KA-CHUNK!! will be open at 10am instead of our normal Noon. By the time doors open at 10, the line will already be wrapping around the block and customers (on average) start waiting in line at midnight but those are only the die-hards, don’t think you need to get here that early to completely enjoy RSD. The first 10 customers will have their orders filled and waiting for them before the store opens up, thus securing them the rarest items without having to elbow anyone out of the way when we open.
I'll come out with paper and a pencil and you can write everything down. And even though your orders will be filled ahead of time, feel free to add or subtract whatever you like and browse like you normally would. I'll allow 10 people in at a time so it's not a madhouse in here, but as the day dictates I'll increase that as we go. My goal is to make this a pleasant shopping experience.

Also, in addition to that I'll be giving away free tote bags filled with random freebies to the first 30-50 people in line. I try and pack in some cool stuff! And I hope to have some free records to randomly distribute to the people in line. The last couple years I've had signed records and test pressings. We'll see what I get this year."
