Kill Lists Found On Bathroom Walls At Ft. Meade School: Police
Five "kill lists" with the names of eighth-graders have been found on walls and in a comic book at MacArthur Middle School, officials say.
FORT MEADE, MD — One or more students at MacArthur Middle School in Fort Meade apparently have written what are being called "kill lists" on bathroom walls throughout the school building, authorities said. The first list was discovered Monday and contained the names of students. But on Wednesday, four more lists were found, three in a bathroom and one in a comic book.
School officials have since contacted the parents of the students whose names were on the lists. Sergeant Jacklyn Davis with the Anne Arundel County Police Department confirmed to Patch that there is an "open investigation" at MacArthur Middle School concerning those threats.
The middle school principal also distributed a letter to parents after the last batch of lists were discovered.

“I am writing to make you aware of several incidents that have occurred at our school over the last three days and to ask you to have a discussion with your child,” wrote Eugene Whiting, the school principal. “While there is a likelihood that the four lists discovered yesterday are 'copycat' lists- and that the one found yesterday was intended as a prank- we are taking each list very seriously."
The principal noted that students are being interviewed by the school resource officer as part of the investigation where relevant.

"I realize this information is alarming, but I want to emphasize that we are taking every step possible to ensure the safety of our students and staff," Whiting wrote. “I urge you to talk to your child about this and help them to understand these lists are no laughing matter."
