Last Day For Annapolis Police Thanksgiving Food Drive

Nov. 16 is the last day to give to the Annapolis Police Department's food drive for local families and school food pantries.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — You can help someone in town have a better Thanksgiving by donating today to the Annapolis Police Department's Thanksgiving Food Drive. Friday, Nov. 16, is the last day to give to the effort, which will provide Thanksgiving meals to local families and police will donate the remaining food to local schools' food pantries.

Organizers are asking for donations of 5-pound bags of potatoes, 2-pound bags of onions, jars of gravy, cans of cranberry sauce, cans of sweet potato, cans of green beans, bags or boxes of stuffing, cans of cream of mushroom soup and french fried onions.

Other items needed are boxed pastas and pasta sauce, peanut butter and jelly, cereal, soups and other canned meals, boxed macaroni and cheese, healthy snacks like breakfast bars and dried fruit, and baby food. Please check expiration dates, expired food will not be accepted.

Donations can be dropped off at the Annapolis Police Department, 199 Taylor Ave.
