Laurel Man Targeted, Gunned Down: Police

Anne Arundel County Police say the shooting victim was targeted. A reward is being offered for suspects in the case.

A Laurel man who was shot and killed Tuesday night was targeted, and Anne Arundel County Police are asking the public to help identify suspects.

The shooting was reported at 8:26 p.m. Tuesday in the 3400 block of Sudlersville South in Laurel. Officers found a man lying on the ground suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was taken to Laurel Regional Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

The victim was identified as Anthony Donnell Minick, 22, of the unit block of Morris Drive in Laurel. Several family members and associates responded to the hospital upon hearing of the shooting and were notified of his death.

On Wednesday, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore will perform an autopsy to determine the exact cause and manner of death.

Homicide detectives have also located several witnesses and are in the process of conducting interviews to identify the suspect(s) involved in Minick’s murder. Preliminary information indicates this was not a random act of violence, but a targeted incident.
