Lawmakers Meet With Business Leaders Before Legislative Session

State legislators from Anne Arundel County are set to meet with the business community. The lawmakers head back to Annapolis next week.

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — Several state legislators from Anne Arundel County will meet virtually with local business leaders Thursday morning. They'll discuss the current issues facing the area as part of the third annual County Leadership Breakfast.

Del. Sandy Bartlett (D-District 32) will join Sens. Pam Beidle (D-District 32) and Ed Riley (R-District 33) as panelists on the Zoom call. Dels. Shaneka Henson (D-District 30A), Mark Chang (D-District 32) and Heather Bagnell (D-District 33) will also dial into the conference.

The Joint Chambers of Anne Arundel County organized the event. Ben Birge, CEO and president of the Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation, will moderate the discussion.

The meeting runs from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Residents can buy tickets, which cost $10 for members and $20 for non-members, at this link.

Legislative session begins on Jan. 13. It ends April 12.
