Life Sentence for Murder Outside Glen Burnie Bar
Carroll Johnson of Glen Burnie will spend his life in prison for killing Keith Jones in the parking lot of Dietrich's Tavern in 2012.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — The shooter who gunned down a man outside a Glen Burnie bar was sentenced Monday to spend the rest of his life in prison.
Carroll Johnson, 31, of Glen Burnie, received a life sentence for the December 2012 murder of Keith Jones, 31. Johnson was convicted of killing Jones, 31, outside Dietrich’s Tavern off Furnace Branch Road.
Johnson was also sentenced in Anne Arundel County Circuit Court to 20 years, with all but five years suspended without parole, for use of a firearm in a crime of violence; and to 15 years, with all but 5 years suspended without parole, for possession of a firearm after a disqualifying crime, prosecutors said.

The sentence was handed down in Anne Arundel County Circuit Court, prosecutors said.
