(Annapolis, MD- March 25, 2020) – Due to economic hardships and health concerns facing Annapolis area residents, the Heritage Food Pantry at Heritage Baptist Church has added an operation day and transitioned to drive through service only.

Effective immediately, the Heritage Food Pantry will be open every Tuesday and Friday from 9:30 am to 11:00 am, on the campus of Heritage Baptist Church (1740 Forest Drive, Annapolis). Customers will be directed to the pickup location upon entering the parking lot and will remain in their cars as volunteers assist them, using safe distancing practices.

“If you are in need, come here,” said Pastor Scott Shelton. “With so many folks in the restaurant and retail sector out of work, two bags of groceries can be a big help. We consider this our sacred ministry to the community and will continue to serve as a resource for all our neighbors.”

Current requirements, updated this week, from food bank suppliers allow customers two visits per month. More information about the Heritage Food Pantry is available at www.heritageloves.com. A video demonstrating the drive through pantry process is also available on their Facebook page (@heritageannapolis). Additional inquiries can be directed to Pastor Scott Shelton at scott@heritagebaptistannapolis.org
