Man Charged With Murder in Father's Stabbing Death
Police say an Annapolis man stabbed his father to death early Saturday; the suspect has been taken into custody.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — An Annapolis man has been charged with murder in the stabbing death of his father early Saturday, authorities say.
Annapolis Police were called to a home in the 300 block of Atwater Drive about 2:45 a.m. for a report of a stabbing. Inside the home, Martin Jolalpa-Vazquez, 44, of Annapolis, was found bleeding profusely from stab wounds.
He was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center, where he died from his injuries, police say.

Officers quickly located the suspect, the victim’s son, at Great Bay Avenue and Annapolis Walk Drive. Leobardo Jolalpa-Ramirez, 22, of Annapolis was arrested and charged in his father’s death.
Leobardo Jolalpa-Ramirez was charged with first- and second-degree murder, manslaughter, first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, and possession of a dangerous weapon with intent to injure.

He is being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center without bond.
