Man Dies In Fiery Crash With Hotel Shuttle Van
Anne Arundel County Police have not released the name of a driver who died in a fiery crash with a hotel shuttle van in Linthicum Heights.

LINTHICUM HEIGHTS, MD — Anne Arundel County Police are trying to determine what caused a driver to crash into a hotel shuttle van in Linthicum Heights. The unidentified driver died inside his Nissan, which caught fire, along with the shuttle bus.
The fatal accident happened about 2 a.m. Saturday on West Nursery Road near Elkridge Landing Road in Linthicum Heights. Police say the victim's vehicle was southbound on West Nursery Road when it swerved to the right and struck a LaQuinta Hotel shuttle bus parked on the shoulder. Both vehicles caught fire and the Nissan driver was found inside his vehicle by Fire Department personnel. There were no other occupants of either vehicle.
The driver was declared dead at the scene and his body was taken by the medical examiner to Baltimore for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

The primary cause of this collision is the driver failing to remain in a single lane. It is unclear if alcohol was a contributing factor, police said.
Authorities are not releasing the victim's name pending notification of next of kin.
