Man Holds Knife to Mom's Throat, Kids Run for Help: Police
An Annapolis woman and her children returned home Tuesday night to be confronted by an armed man demanding money, police say.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — An intruder held a knife to an Annapolis woman's throat and demanded money as her children looked on before fleeing for help, according to Annapolis Police.
The victim and her two children returned home to the 900 block of Spa Road about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday to find a man armed with a knife inside. The man held the knife to the victim’s throat and demanded money. The children fled the apartment, followed quickly by their mother.
An officer driving through the area was flagged down by a motorist who had stopped to help the children. The apartment was searched, but the suspect had already fled.

The suspect is described as a man of unknown race wearing a black mask. He is believed to have stolen a blue, white, and black BMX style child’s bicycle and fled on that bicycle on Smithville Street toward Russell Street.
There were no signs of forced entry to the apartment.
