Man Shot In Face With Paintball Gun, Teen Charged With Assault: Police

A 14-year-old was charged with assault Saturday after police said he shot an Annapolis man in the face with a paintball gun.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A 14-year-old was charged with assault Saturday after police said he shot an Annapolis man in the face with a paintball gun.

A man called Anne Arundel County police about 5:10 p.m. to report people were shooting paintball guns in the 600 block of Admiral Drive in Annapolis, according to a department news release. The caller told officers he was shot in the face by someone with a paintball gun.

Officers located the 14-year-old suspect in the area of Admiral Drive and Jennifer Road holding the paintball gun and acting in a disorderly manner, the police report said.

The teen was taken into custody and identified by the victim. The suspect was charged with first-degree assault, reckless endangerment and other appropriate charges.
