Man Shot Outside Eastport Convenience Store: Police

A man was shot and hospitalized outside an Eastport convenience store, officers said. Annapolis police are still looking for the suspect.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A man was shot outside an Annapolis convenience store this weekend, city police announced.

Officers said the victim went to the nearby Anne Arundel Medical Center. Authorities expect him to survive.

The Annapolis Police Department said the shooting happened Saturday around 2:21 a.m. in the 400 block of 6th Street. That's in the city's Eastport neighborhood near the Spa Creek Bridge.

The victim was shot in the lower leg in the parking lot of Royal Farms, Eye On Annapolis reported.

Officers said a car arrived and a group of suspects got out. At least one of those suspects shot at the victim, authorities alleged.

Police did not give any potential suspect information. The investigation is still ongoing.
