Man Struck By Own Vehicle After Hitting 80-Year-Old Pedestrian

A 54-year-old man was hit by his own car after he hopped out to check on a woman he had just struck with his vehicle.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Two individuals were flown to an area hospital with serious injuries Aug. 5 in a bizarre vehicular accident. A 54-year-old man was backing up in the parking lot of an apartment complex located in the 1000 block of Norman Drive.

The man hit an 80-year-old female who was walking through the parking lot, according to Annapolis police. When the man climbed out of his vehicle to see what had happened, he managed to hit himself with his own vehicle after failing to put the vehicle in park.
