Man in Van Tries to Lure Girl: Annapolis Police Calls
Also, police charged an armed man with selling drugs, an armed robbery was reported, and thefts from vehicles.

In the last 72 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 275 calls for service and arrested 14 people.

Drug, Gun Charges – On 05/10 officers from the Annapolis Police Department arrested Nathaniel Jones, 50, of Oxon Hill after reportedly finding a stolen gun in the pocket of his shorts. On 05/10 at 6:15am officers received a report of a man with a gun inside his vehicle in the 1100 block of Madison St. Officers arrived and located Jones, who matched the description given of the man with a gun. When questioned, Jones admitted to having a weapon on him and officers quickly located the loaded gun in his pocket. The gun was stolen from Georgia in 2013. Officers found marijuana and ammunition in Jones’s vehicle. Jones was charged with 11 counts of CDS and handgun violations and was released after posting $75,000 bond.
Theft from Vehicle – 100 block of Eastern Av – 05/07 at 3pm to 05/08 at 12:05pm: Money was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Suspicious Activity – Unit block of Gentry Ct – 05/08 at 7:30pm: A seven-year-old girl reported that she was riding her bicycle when a man in a white SUV stopped next to her and asked her to get in his vehicle. The girl ran away and the man left the area. The man is described as an older white male with red hair and a beard.
Armed Robbery – Unit block of Melrob Ct – 05/09 at 1am: The adult male victim was walking into his apartment building when he was approached by two men. One of the men was holding a gun and demanded money. When the suspect realized the victim had no money he punched the victim in the face and both suspects fled the area on foot.
Theft from Vehicle – 300 block of Jefferson St – 05/09 at 3:25am: Money was stolen from a vehicle left with its convertible top down. A nearby surveillance camera showed a group of subjects around the vehicle at 3:25am.
Theft of Bicycle – 800 block of Monroe St – 05/08 at 9:30pm to 05/09 at 8:50am: A black specialized bicycle with red handlebar grips was stolen from a ground floor patio. The bicycle was secured with a lock to an object that could easily be lifted to remove the bicycle.
Theft from Vehicle – 100 block of Severn Av – 05/09 at 12:05pm to 05/10 at 3pm: An unlocked vehicle was entered and a door and the trunk left open, a bag of sunflower seeds was stolen.
