An Anne Arundel County man visiting his parents in Maine died Monday in a fire at their Kennebunk home, which had no smoke detectors, officials say.
Kyle Szlosek, 25, of Glen Burnie, died from smoke inhalation when he was trapped on the second floor of his father’s home, reports WMTW TV.
His brother, Jonathan Cressey, 31, of Suffolk, VA, jumped from a second-floor window and pulled their father from the first floor to safety. Paul Szlosek, 62, was being treated at Maine Medical Center for smoke inhalation.
