Marilyn Bell Wright, 73, of Annapolis

Marilyn Bell Wright, 73, passed away on Monday, Sept. 7, at her home in Annapolis after a long battle with cancer. She was born June 29, 1942, in Hackensack, NJ, daughter of the late Oscar and Ruth Bell.

Marilyn grew up in Hackensack and Ridgewood, NJ, and graduated Phi Theta Kappa from Vermont College. She worked for a number of years as a legal secretary at Mobil Oil Co. in New York City and later at a law firm in Syracuse, NY. She also worked as a relocation coordinator for Shannon & Luchs Realty in Bethesda.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her older brothers, Walter and David Bell.

Marilyn is survived by her loving husband, Tracy, of 50 years; daughter, Christy Schiller of Placerville, CA; two sons, Scott Wright of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Todd Wright of Bloomfield, NJ; 9 grandchildren, Jake and Vance Schiller, of California, Cameron, Trevor, Nate, and Daphne Wright of South Carolina and Halen, Kestin and Jenna Wright of New Jersey.

Marilyn was a longtime member of the New Annapolitans and active in many of their services and social activities.

Friends and family are invited to the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road in Edgewater for a visitation on Saturday, Sept. 12, from 2 until the funeral service begins at 4 p.m. Interment will be at a later date at Valleau Cemetery at the Old Paramus Reformed Church, Ridgewood, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Hwy, Pasadena, MD 21122.
