Maryland Weather Forecast: Lingering Winds, Fall Temps This Week

A sunny, cool Sunday got an extra shot of wind. Trees will stop swaying in a few days, but the cool temperatures will be around all week.

Overnight lows on Sunday could get down into the 40s — the first time this season, according to the National Weather Service. Overnight lows stay cool Monday and Tuesday nights, too.

Columbus Day will be cool and blustery, with winds up to 15 mph and gusts as high as 24 mph. Winds decrease on Tuesday, but we won't see much warmer temperatures until Thursday — with a high near 70.

The weekend rolls back to the low 60s, with mostly sunny skies. Temperatures slightly above average should return next week.

Your first Halloween forecast? Cloudy and a possible evening thunderstorm, according to AccuWeather. The overnight low could reach 40 degrees.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 70.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 62.
