Masked Man Steals Keys, Returns To Rob Resident

A man who was assaulted lost his keys, and was robbed by a masked man in his apartment a few hours later, Annapolis Police say.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — An Annapolis man who was assaulted and either lost his keys or had them stolen during the attack, was robbed by a masked man in his apartment a few hours later, Annapolis Police say.

The man reported that about 6 p.m. Wednesday he was assaulted by several suspects and during the assault his keys were lost or stolen. Police did not receive a report of the assault.

About 2 a.m. Thursday, the victim was sleeping inside his apartment on West Washington Street when he awoke to a masked man assaulting him. After the suspect assaulted the victim, he stole a TV and DVD player and left the apartment. Police say there were no signs of forced entry to the apartment.
